This error pops up whenever you load into the game and its Program name is ERR_GFX_STATE with a message in which it is written “Game error. Please reboot and restart the game

However, it is not going to be fixed with just restarting or rebooting the pc as well as the Rockstar Games Launcher. If you want to solve this error then you have to follow the simple steps as follows.

Step-1:

It is quite simple just go to the Documents folder and navigate to the Rockstar Games Folder and enter into the Red Dead Redemption 2 Folder then click on the folder namely Settings the in settings delete all the files except “system” and just close it afterward.

If you delete the “system” file then there will be no loss except all your graphics preset will be get reset and you have to optimize it for your specs right from the scratch.

Step-2:

Now in this step just exit the Rockstar Games Launcher from the Taskbar and now again reopen it and “Run It as Administrator” then open the Red Dead Redemption 2 like you always did.

Rockstar Games Launcher

  1. Start the Rockstar Games Launcher
  2. Select Settings
  3. Under My installed Games Select Red Dead Redemption 2
  4. Scroll down to Launch arguments
  5. In the Launch Options box, add -ignorepipelinecache
  6. Select Games
  7. Launch Red Dead Redemption 2

Epic Games Launcher

  1. Start the Epic Games Launcher
  2. Select Settings
  3. Scroll down to Red Dead Redemption 2
  4. Tick the box Additional Command Line Arguments
  5. In the text box, add -ignorepipelinecache
  6. Return to the Main Menu
  7. Launch Red Dead Redemption 2

Steam Launcher

  1. Start Steam
  2. Under Library, right-click on Red Dead Redemption 2
  3. Select Properties
  4. Select Set Launch Options
  5. In the text box, add -ignorepipelinecache
  6. Select OK
  7. Close the Properties window
  8. Launch Red Dead Redemption 2
